Villars: just up the valley at the northern end of Lake Geneva, about 50 mins away. 50 CHF for a day pass (2009)A charming resort with old-school pedigree. Well-known as a family destination but underrated for its more challenging terrain. Villars is a small, traditional town located on a south-facing balcony overlooking the Rhône valley. Surrounded by vast mountains, whose lower slopes are carpeted in conifers and dotted with chalets.
